Accident & Emergency Services
We have full Accident & Emergency (A&E) services at LSC. The department is open 24 hours a day. All our specialists are available 24 hours a day and on call.
Upon Arrival
Upon arrival at reception counter, you will be greeted by our Customer Relation Officer/Receptionist who will guide you through the admission procedure. Planned admissions are arranged after consultation with our specialists. Deposit will be required. All emergency cases will be assessed by a doctor at Accident & Emergency Department, and our staff will guide you through the procedure.
What to Bring with You
We suggest that you bring your own clothes, slippers and toiletries. There is a locker beside your bed. We do not provide personal laundry service in this hospital. If you are on any medications, please bring along with you and please keep in original packing, and hand to a member of the nursing staff upon admission.
Patient Properties/Valuables
For security reasons, patients are advised not to keep any valuables (e.g. money, jewellery, handphone & computer) with them in the hospital. LSC accepts no responsibility for patients' possessions while they are in the hospital.
Admission Kit
Admission kit (chargeable) will be issued upon admission in the ward. The kit consists of a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a comb, a bottle of shower gel, a bottle of shampoo, a plastic cup, a bath towel and a face flannel.
Lodger
Lodger is only allowed in 2 Bedded & Single Rooms. Only female lodger is allowed in the Female & Paediatric wards (except for single room). Meals for lodgers are not included. Folding bed/ deck chair will be provided at night only. Kindly make prior arrangement with the Sister/ Staff Nurse.
Call-Bell Service
The call-bell service is free of charge. This can be used when assistance is required at all times and in an emergency.
Food Service (Halal)
LSC offers a variety of meal choices to meet different medical needs and patient's preference unless if you require a special diet (therapeutic diet). Our ward staff will assist you with your menu selections and ensure that your needs are attended to. Please check with the nurses if you bring in your own food, to ensure that it does not interfere with your treatment plan.
LSC serves HALAL food. Please do not use the hospital crockery if you bring your own food. Do take note that cooking is not allowed in the hospital premises.
Discharge Procedures
As soon as you have been notified of your discharge date and time, please inform your relatives so that transport arrangement can be made.
Patient is advised to check out before 12.00 noon on the day of discharge. A half-day charge will be levied for those who wish to leave the hospital after 12.00noon and before 5.00pm. Any discharges after 5.00pm will be charged for a full day fee. All follow up appointments will be arranged by our ward receptionist.
Payment can be made at the Customer Account Dept/ In-patient Cashier (Level 3, Block 2) and take home medication (if any) can be collected at the Pharmacy Counter (Level 1, Block 2 & 3).

- Free internet access is available in our hospital, kindly refer to our ward staff for the password
- Telephone service at a chargeable rate is available for all single rooms
- Surau is located at Level 3, Block 3. Kindly contact our ward staff/ receptionist for assistance.

5.00pm to 10.00pm
- Only two visitors are permitted to visit at any one time.
- No alcohol and smoking are allowed in the hospital premises.
- Visiting hours is limited for ICCU, please speak to our sister or staff nurse
